State Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim and Bidhan Nagar MLA Sujit Bose inaugurating the Sports Arena by Aditya Group on Monday.
Image Source: Xtra Time Kolkata: Aditya Group today launched Bengals 1st ever private stadium, Aditya School of Sports Arena Barasat. The stadium located 25 kms from the city at Kadambagachi will be hosting the much anticipated Match for Unity between soccer Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona and former India captain Sourav Ganguly.
The seven a side match will be held between the celebrity teams headed by Diego Armando Maradona and Sourav Ganguly on 5th October 2017. The stadium was inaugurated today by State Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Firhad Hakim and Sujit Bose, MLA of Bidhan Nagar.
Also present on the occasion were a galaxy of sportstars likes Jhulan Goswami, Mr. Deep Dasgupta and Mr. Mehtaab Hossain. The Aditya School of Sports Arena has provision for multiple sports such as cricket, football, indoor sports – table tennis, badminton, chess etc. The permanent capacity of the stadium is 10,000.
The Sports Arena has a full size cricket ground apart from a football ground and indoor facilities. Mr. Anirban Aditya, Chairman Aditya Group also announced a Residential Elite Sports academy at this complex where students from all over the country who are keen to build their career in sports can pursue their choice of game along with studies simultaneously.

A chat show themed Bengal Sports Dreams was conducted at the stadium premises hosted by renowned sports historian Dr. Boria Majumdar.
