(IGBL 3rd Edition) by AsiaOne magazine& URS Media Consulting PL, the international media house and the only Business & News magazine with pan-Asia presence. It is a moment of great honor for the entire Aditya Sansar on being nominated amongst brands & leaders in Asia, Africa, and the GCC.
The self-less work started way back in 1984 by the founder Chairman, Mr. Bhaskar Aditya is now reaching the pinnacle of success by the next generation of the Aditya family. There is no greater joy than seeing his son, Mr. Anirban Aditya taking the name of the group not only beyond West Bengal and India but across Asia.
Aditya Group established in 1984, though is a diversified business house, a lot of emphasis and attention goes behind the education sector. The immediate vision is to reach out to as many children that we can who not only cannot afford but also deserve the best of education to become responsible contributors to the society at large. So the vision is to enhance our existing infrastructure to accommodate more kids and also provide them maximum international infrastructure exposure to make them global citizens.
Aditya Academy Secondary set up in Barasat was established with the vision to provide quality education to all. This academy not only provided uncompromised education but also positively influenced the local markets of Barasat, providing a source of income for the local residents. It was this initiative of the group which brought Barasat in the limelight and now other industries, schools and hospitals have been set up in the area. The school has had major influence in the overall socio-economic development of the area so much so that until recently we have had Diego Maradona in our Barasat premise- bringing the remote area into global limelight.
We have never shield away from any opportunity that we get to extended support and provided due encouragement to many achievers. We have felicitated Mehuli Ghosh, Jhulan Goswami, Ishan Porel, Rahim Nabi, Mehtaab Hussain and others for their contribution to respective sports.
For us education is not a business but a social commitment- providing affordable quality education. It is this very commitment that made us focus on sports as sports is an integral part of a child’s education and overall growth. ASOS Arena at Barasat today in just over a year’s existence boasts of Bengal’s first and only private cricket stadium with capacity of around 9,000 spectators. We have now ties up with Cricket Association of Bengal for 15 years to ensure we provide the best of wickets, outfield and other support infrastructure. We are almost ready to host 1st class matches there with an international size and quality ground. At the same time work is on progress to build up an international size and standard football pitch with a capacity to host around 5,000 spectators. We are also looking beyond Cricket and Football and thus building up top class academies engaging top people for Shooting, Badminton, Basketball and tennis too.
The basic ideology however shall remain the same. Top class effective infrastructure and support at an affordable price. A concept, that we call Edusports. Utilizing the 30 acre campus we have residential facilities and a CoEd CBSE Affiliated English medium School, we shall have residential academies of all the sports that we offer to ensure that the students can focus on their game while we take care of their boarding, lodging and education.In doing so, we are making sports compulsory for students.
